Kendriya Vidyalaya Tatanagar a civil sector Vidyalaya under Ranchi Region was established in 1974 and is the second oldest Kendriya Vidyalaya at Ranchi. In the beginning the school ran under project sector. Tatanagar took care of its management but from April 2003 onward the Vidyalaya is under Civil Sector being governed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
